An incorruptible judge has spent his career fighting organised crime. But the tables are turned when his son is found guilty of a hit-and-run. For Judge Michael Jacobi his job is a vocation. Nonetheless, he opts to put himself above the law after his son Julian flees the scene of a car accident. The motorcyclist in the coma is known to Jacobi. He is the son of the infamous mob boss Radan Sailovic, whom Jacobi once put behind bars.

The otherwise fearless judge knows precisely how much danger his son will be in if the Sailovics learn what happened. His attempt to cover up the car accident, with the help of his friend Franz, goes completely awry, however, and he soon comes under pressure from the investigations of Detective Kirchner. Meanwhile, Arija Sailovic, who does not believe that his brother's accident was simply an accident, attempts to take over the family business. This triggers a bloody gang war with shady factory owner Lindner, who is also a danger to Jacobi. The judge finds himself forced to betray all his principles – to save his son and his career.
