Falling Into Place
Kira and Ian, two 30-somethings, meet all too briefly over a winter weekend on the Isle of Skye and form a sudden, deep, and surprising bond. For a few seconds, they become aware of each other, forgetting the roar of the coach that will take them to a Scottish seaside town. Neither the German Kira nor the Scottish Ian know that this fleeting encounter will change their lives. Both are on the run—from their pasts as well as the reality of their present lives. When they meet a second time that night, a magical bond develops between the two strangers. But fate tears them apart again, and they both return to London, unaware they live in the same city.
Back in the urban sprawl, they try to move on with separate lives, yet both must stop running from themselves before they are ready to truly meet. Kira and Ian will have to face their own demons before destiny allows a genuine connection to form. “Falling Into Place” is written and directed by Aylin Tezel (“7500”, “Unbroken”), making her directorial debut with this modern love story set across Scotland’s Isle of Skye and London. Starring Aylin Tezel and Chris Fulton (“Outlaw King”, “Bridgerton”), with a stellar cast including Alexandra Dowling (“Game of Thrones”), it offers an honest, poetic portrait of today’s 30-somethings caught between fear of commitment and the desire for self-improvement—a timeless tale of dreams, anxieties, and generational longing.
